Beyond the Bylines explores how artificial intelligence is transforming journalism and the modern newsroom. It presents AI as a collaborator rather than a replacement for journalists, showing how it can support research, data analysis, reporting, fact-checking, content creation and storytelling. The book also examines major challenges such as misinformation, deepfakes, algorithmic bias, privacy, transparency and accountability. Above all, it emphasizes the continuing importance of human judgment, critical thinking, ethics, context and creativity in journalism. Designed as a practical guide for journalism students and media professionals, Beyond the Bylines offers a balanced perspective on using AI responsibly while preserving the core values of journalism - truth, credibility, fairness and public service.
