Dr. Neha Gupta is an accomplished academician and researcher with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and over eight years of combined experience in teaching and research. She completed her Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA, gaining valuable international research exposure. She is a recipient of the prestigious NASI–Springer Award (2017) and has been honored with the Academic/Research Excellence Award by Jiwaji University in 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2026 on the occasion of Republic Day. She was also conferred the Young Scientist Award at ICSS-2025 for her outstanding research contributions and scientific merit. Dr. Gupta has four years of teaching experience at the School of Studies in Biotechnology, Jiwaji University, and has previously served as Associate Faculty at the College of Agriculture, RVSKVV, Gwalior. She has an impressive research record with 55 publications in peer-reviewed, high-impact international journals (h-index: 29; i10-index: 50; over 2000 citations), along with 1 patent, 1 book, and 11 book chapters. She has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and has mentored several M.Sc. students in their research projects. Her research interests focus on food-derived bioactive peptides, their functional characterization, and the application of bioinformatics and high-throughput approaches to explore their biological and therapeutic potential.
